One of our own star student-athletes will suit-up today with the UNC Tar Heels as they face the California Bears in their football season opener at Carolina. (TV: ACC Network-12:20pm)

Josh Cabrera is back and ready-to-go as a 6'3", 205 lb, Junior wide-receiver after coming off injury plagued past seasons with knee and then shoulder surgical injuries.

Josh was a standout at Northside both in the classroom and the field & court! He was well-respected by both faculty/staff and his peers. Josh attended NHS for his Junior and Senior years, graduating in the class of 2014 . Since Josh could catch a football anywhere on the field it was thrown in his direction; with GREAT leaping ability and some breakaway speed, the Tar Heels offered him an athletic scholarship to further his education and to play ball at Chapel Hill. He is one of the best All-Round athletes ever to be at Northside and the Tar Heel coaching staff is still very impressed with Josh.
