Driven by Northside's Monarch Stadium lately?

The two new upgrades to the complex are a new Digital Scoreboard and a newly refurbished press box covering.

The SCOREBOARD is a Nevco model with a digital scrolling message display. The first athletic use will be at the upcoming MFCU Football Jamboree on August 11th although it was unveiled at the recent 2017 NHS Graduation Ceremony. 

The original scoreboard in use since the 2001 opening of Northside was having major electrical issues and needed some relief but had served the Monarch Athletic history well and had witnessed some great plays and games.

The new scoreboard will be serving home games in football, soccer, lacrosse and possibly track in the future. Hopefully, there will be higher numbers on the HOME side of the board when the final horn sounds!  The message board sounds like an interesting feature...Sorry, No Instant Replay or Camera Shots of the crowd!...Maybe in another 16 years?

Oh, new scoreboards will soon be added to the NHS Softball & Baseball fields and Jax Commons Middle School has also received a new scoreboard. All were long overdue...

The NHS PRESS BOX facelift was another need as it had been battered by both the weather and mistreated by un-welcomed visitors. Unfortunately a hard shell press box cannot be erected due to the time of original construction and the ADA regulations.

Hopefully our Monarch Fans and Visitors will enjoy both improvements.
