The Monarch Girls & Boys Swim Teams opened their 2018-19 Swim season by traveling to Washington, NC to participate in a 4 team girls and 3 team boys meet. The meet was held at Moore's Aquatic & Fitness Center.

THE NORTHSIDE STORY...

The young Monarch Girls & Boys Swim Team literally splashed into their 1st swim meet of the year as 8 of the 10 team members had never experienced a swim meet before!  Coach Jasmine Edgren stated that "she was very proud" of her swimmers and their efforts in their events and against larger, more experienced teams. If you've never experienced competitive swimming before it is quite a unique sport.

The Monarch team now has 16 swimmers (10 boys + 6 girls). Their names can be found under ROSTER.

Team Captains Micaela Martinez (Jr) and Jacob Naylor (Sr) swam personal bests in the 50 Free & 100 Free from last year's competitions.
