...Northside High School's ONLY Boys Basketball Coach coming from White Oak with loyal assistant Coach Rick Hammond in 2001 when Northside opened...354-100 record...one 2A State Championship in 2016-2017 going 30-0!...one 3A Runner Up State Championship in 2017-18 going 29-1 and losing by 2pts in the last second on two controversial calls!...So many coaching honors and team conference championships/playoff championships.

...Coach suffered a heart attack at basketball practice in 2012 asking his ever-present Coach Hammond to take him outside to call EMS so his players wouldn't be involved...he was back the next year! (with Drs & Wife's permission)

...Coach Marshburn was also the very successful NHS JV Football Coach for many years with Coach Hammond by his side...Coach Marshburn was one of only two NHS Coaches to coach 3 sports during the year with Spring Golf (if you call that "coaching" vs "enjoying"...at least retired Coach/AD Angela Buchanan coached Volleyball-Basketball-Softball!...kidding Coach M!)

How Do You Replace A LEGEND?...You Don't...And You Can Never Find The Appropriate Words To Express Your Appreciation For The Impact That Coach Marshburn Has Had On So Many Lives, And To Northside  And To Our Community!
