LOOKING BACK: The Monarchs open their 18th Fall Sports Season since opening in 2001 with approximately 580 students (250 each from Jacksonville Commons Middle School and Jacksonville High School; 80 from White Oak). There was no Senior Class (1st Grads in 2003) but a full 2A Varsity schedule was played...the athletic practice fields and stadium game field were not ready for play...the building occupancy permit had not been approved...all of the athletic equipment was stored in two trailers behind the school...players & coaches had to walk through the construction lay down area to get to a section of grass to use for practice...NO PROBLEM!...A dedicated group of student-athletes and coaches from different schools; still learning each others names, would come together under the theme "ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING" and Northside Athletic history was born...entering SY 2018-19 in their 2nd year as a 3A Coastal Conference school with 1160 students; one of the largest in the county!...You've Come A Long Way Monarchs!  Best Wishes!
