Which true freshman will make the most impact in 2020? There are a few candidates to consider.

At 6-foot-2, 220-pounds, defensive back Ja'Qurious Conley already has NFL size and has entered the competition at nickelback. Regardless of how and how much Bateman uses him, Conley should see the field in nickel and dime packages and be able to make plays as a jumbo defensive back with incredible size for the position and great explosiveness and athleticism.

Elite cornerback Tony Grimes completed his high school classwork and was able to enroll early at North Carolina. He will not only provide more depth to UNC's group of cornerbacks, but could compete for a starting job midway through the season. It is going to be hard to keep the 6-foot, 170-pound Virginia Beach talent off the field.

"Ja'Qurious Conley is a tremendous athlete. Tony Grimes is a tremendous athlete," Brown said this week. "They're two of the best young high school players in the country last year, and they look really good. Tony Grimes doesn't look like he should be starting his senior year in high school. And Ja'Qurious Conley, nobody has blocked him yet. And he can fly... I think Ja'Qurious is up to like 225 and can fly. He hasn't lost any weight whatsoever. So we feel like those two guys will play immediately."
