POTENTIAL COVID-19 ISSUE FOR WALLACE-ROSE HILL
This was the news no team wanted to hear and none of us who cover high school sports wanted to report. Wallace-Rose Hill's football team has received multiple positive COVID-19 tests ahead of Saturday's 2A football state championship game.

The news broke on Thursday when NCHSAA Commissioner Que Tucker confirmed the details.

It is not clear how many cases there are or if they involve players or staff members. However, it will be up to the Duplin County Health Department as to whether or not Wallace-Rose Hill will get to play on Saturday.

Stay tuned throughout the day on Friday, we expect an official word at some point.

Locally, he helped WCPSS become the first large district in the nation to implement the USA Football Heads Up program and added stunt as an extra athletic opportunity for females in Wake County.
